A Touch of Summer

This day marks one of the hottest days in my entire life. Honestly. Well, maybe I'm exaggerating. But this day is gonna go down history. I rolled around my bed for the most part of my day, and even as I hold my breath and did not move a single inch from my spot, sweat would still drip down my neck onto my pillow. It was a good thing that I was preoccupied with another one of my hobbies, which is reading fanfictions of Dramione. You know, I could go on for days glued to my phone.  I wouldn't mind at all.

The summer atmosphere brought out a ton of memories, ranging from various aspects of my life. The most recent was during my first year of college. I remember that summer day. The cicadas were sounding quite noisily as classes went on. There were other students playing by the PNR. I remember that summer day when I etched out the fine lines of the building adjacent to us. The memory was so vivid because the heat made me a bit wistful, basking in all the aromas of sweat and fresh air. This was one of those days, it made me miss PUP-T, quite a bit. But not much as to return to face-to-face classes, now that would be delusional.

After a couple of hours of lounging around, the sun had nearly reached the horizon. Signaling for its counterpart to replace him for the day. It continued on until the sun had completely faded into oblivion, yet I know it wasn't the last. The ball of flames was just setting to give the celestial body its time to shine onto the unknowing kind, albeit never seeing its full glory for itself. However, before being seen by the other part of the world, it left a train of drizzle along its way. It was one of the most beautiful and enticing things you'll ever see in your entire lifetime. The skies had turned into one of the darkest hues of orange while the clouds were somewhat a bit brighter, perhaps yellow could be a shade closer. It felt like the world was set on fire, but the summer breeze told me otherwise.
